Dynamic Human Driver CAD Model
As a product of the Covid-19 pandemic, the work I could do for Drexel FSAE was limited. One thing that I worked on was a reference model for a human that would go in the full CAD to check collisions and ergonomics. I found a paper that listed key anthropometric data on 5th percentile female and 95 percentile male body types and plugged those dimensions into a CAD model I made that was reflexive to these data points. The end result was a human model that could be any size, with multiple configurations of the same part to represent these different metrics. All of theCAD was done in SOLIDWORKS.
